Local knowledge.
Shared freely.
ALCyber exists because good ICT and cybersecurity knowledge shouldn't only be available to organisations with big budgets.
Who runs this
ALCyber is run by a Darwin-based senior ICT professional with hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure, and enterprise-level systems.
The hub was created to give something back to the local community — sharing knowledge and practical skills that are genuinely useful, without a price tag attached.
Darwin's tech community is small. That's not a limitation — it's a reason to collaborate, share openly, and build things together.
Four principles.
Community first
The hub exists to serve the Darwin community, not to generate revenue. Decisions about what to take on are made accordingly.
Plain English
Technical knowledge is only useful if it's communicated clearly. No jargon walls, no gatekeeping — just straightforward explanation.
Honest referrals
If something is outside the hub's scope, we say so and point you somewhere useful. No agenda, no commissions.
No over-engineering
Simple solutions that work and keep working. If it needs constant babysitting, it's the wrong answer.
Want to get involved?
Whether you've got a project, a question, or just want to connect with someone in Darwin's tech community — the door's open.
